Background
Gloria is a bright 13-year-old who faced deep challenges early in life. After losing her mother at a young age, she spent nine years in a children’s home, away from family support and familiarity.
Our Intervention
In 2024, Vumi Foundation stepped in to restore stability, dignity, and belonging in Gloria’s life. Our support focused on:
- Family Reintegration: Reconnecting her with relatives who now provide a loving home during school breaks.
- Education Support: Ensuring her return to school and providing the resources she needed to resume learning.
- Emotional & Social Support: Walking with her through the transition to rebuild confidence and emotional security.
The Road Ahead
Gloria’s transformation has been inspiring. She has shown steady academic improvement, regained confidence, and developed meaningful friendships at school. At home, she continues to flourish — now a happy, expressive, and engaged daughter surrounded by love and support.
